In Rise of Corduene, handling the fighting aspect is vital in order to survive. The fighting system is split upon different weapon types, light and heavy attacks and several effects that each hit gives out to the enemy. There is also defensive acts to think about when going out on the battlefield.

There is over 250 different Kurdish weapons, all connected to its own lore and abilities. For example both the Elih Knives and The Zaza Warhammer holds legendary status, which makes the weapon rare and specifically strong. The Elih Knives’s health damage is 45 while the Zaza Warhammer is 55. They also carry different effects from their hits, one of them a bleeding effect and the other a Sunder effect. All these information will be important in the tactical approach during the game, you can see this information by opening up your character screen (Defeault: Tab).

Approaching enemies:
When approaching enemies you will see their name / sort, their profession and their health bar. In the game, you will encounter Persians, Arabs, Turks, Kurds and many more groups. Most of the people you meet will be hostile, but some of them are actually NPCs you can interact with. When killing an enemy, you will be able to loot their inventory. The loot gets better, depending on which level the enemy are. You will see the lever right beside their name, for example on the picture below, the Persian Carpenter is Level 2. In Rise of Corduene all enemies are between level 1-4 with 1-3 considered as “normal” enemy.

Level 4 Enemies:
Most of the enemies you face in Kurdistan are level 1-3. As mentioned before, they are marked with either I, II or III after their name. While the level 1-3 enemies are called for example either Persian Carpenter II or Arabian Tanner III, the level 4 enemies are reconizeable since they have a real name on when approaching them. These enemies are considered legendary and are much stronger than other enemies.

Catching and converting enemies:

One of the key features in Rise of Corduene is to capture enemies and converting them into your own workers or fighters.
To follow the full tutorial on how to do this, click on the Youtube-video on the top-right corner. Briefly, you need a rope, a hittin bat and a Wheel of Pain Station. Find your enemy, hit him with the bat, and as he goes down, drag him back to your base with the rope. Then put the captured enemy in the Wheel of Pain station that you have constructed. After placing the enemy alongside some Kurdish soup, you can click the play button and let him convert himself. After the bar is finished, you can use the converted enemy as you want.

On the picture, you see an example of a converted Jash who fights alongside the player against Turkish fighters.
