Origins of Kawa

In the ancient realm of Kurdistan, a land blessed with natural beauty and a rich tapestry of cultures, there resided a legendary blacksmith named Kawa. From a young age, Kawa showed a remarkable talent for the art of metalwork, fashioning weapons and armor with unparalleled skill. Born into a world of peace and harmony, Kurdistan thrived under the wise rule of its benevolent leaders. Kawa’s path was not solely shaped by his mastery of the forge, but also by the teachings of his father, a skilled hunter. Together, they roamed the lush forests, honing Kawa’s senses and imparting upon him the virtues of bravery and resourcefulness. Tragically, fate dealt a cruel blow when his father fell victim to unknown bandits during a fateful hunt. The loss of his father left a void in Kawa’s heart, but it also kindled a fire of determination within him. As time unfurled its wings, a foreboding presence crept across the land. The wicked reign of Zuhak, a shadowy figure wielding dark powers, cast an ominous shroud over the once prosperous kingdom of Kurdistan. In the early years of Zuhak’s rule, Kawa continued to ply his trade as a blacksmith in his humble village, the distant echoes of rumors swirling around him. From the sanctuary of his workshop, Kawa would often catch snatches of conversation wafting through the air, tales whispered in hushed tones of the affliction that plagued Zuhak. Rumors spoke of a disease that ate away at the sorcerer’s flesh, a physical manifestation of the evil that festered within his soul. The people murmured, their voices trembling with a mix of fear and anticipation, as they wondered what this affliction would mean for their land.

However, the tranquility of Kawa’s village was abruptly shattered when Zuhak’s soldiers descended upon their peaceful homes. Like ravenous wolves, they seized the children of the village one by one, tearing them away from the loving embrace of their families. The anguished cries of parents echoed through the air, and sorrow dripped from every tear shed. Kawa, his heart heavy with grief and indignation, witnessed this heartbreaking sight. The flames of compassion and righteous fury ignited within him, compelling him to take a stand against the forces that sought to tear families apart. With each child stolen, the burden upon his shoulders grew heavier, and the resolve within him crystallized. Drawing strength from the ancestral wisdom passed down through generations, Kawa knew that the time for action had come. His skilled hands grasped the weighty hammer, a symbol of his craft and determination. It was time to forge a new path, one paved with courage and the fervent hope of reuniting the shattered families of Kurdistan.

The Revolution

The sorcerer’s wickedness knew no bounds. One day he came for Kawa’s children aswell, loosing two children to Zuhak was one thing, but when they came for his third and last, he had enough. Filled with grief and rage, Kawa could no longer bear witness to the suffering of his people. When Zuhak’s guards arrived to claim his third child, a fire ignited within him, burning with righteous fury. In a daring act of defiance, Kawa raised his mighty hammer and struck down the guards with unyielding strength. The clash of steel against flesh echoed through the night, awakening the spirit of resistance within the hearts of the oppressed. Word of Kawa’s rebellion spread like wildfire, reaching the ears of countless Kurds who had also endured the loss of their beloved children. A wave of anger surged through the land, and thousands rallied behind Kawa, their collective sorrow and determination fueling their fight for freedom.

The revolution gained momentum as angry citizens from all corners of Kurdistan united, marching towards Zuhak’s impenetrable fortress. The Battle of Adur and The Battle of Sharruk was two important victories for Kawa’s revolution against Zuhak.

The Battle of Adur

the Battle of Adur took place 377 B.L in the city of Adur close to the border between Kurdistan and Zuhak’s Kingdom, on Zuhak’s side. The city was heavily guarded by Zuhak’s guard which among people were known as Khuzguards. It was commonly known that the city held several highquarters for the Khuzguards, and therefore, Kawa saw it as very important to take control of the city, in order to defeat Zuhak. Before moving for Adur, Kawa did however organize a set up in the wild Zagros mountains, taking out a dozen of the enemy forces. This eventually led to Zuhak sending Khuzguards from the city of Adur to the set up location for backup, all according to Kawa’s plan.

The success of Kawa and his uprising gained momentum, His charismatic leadership inspired thousands of Kurds to take up arms against the oppressive regime of Zuhak. Their collective determination surged forth as a tidal wave of resilience, crashing against the outer walls of Adur with an unyielding resolve. The massive Kurdish crowd then moved towards the highquarter of the Khuzguards where the main battle took place. With a fervor burning in their eyes and the spirits of their fallen children urging them forward, the Kurdish men and women launched a relentless assault upon the headquarter. Their battle cries pierced the air, mingling with the clash of swords, the thundering of hooves, and the reverberations of mighty war machines.

The defenders of the headquarters fought back, afraid of what Zuhak would do to them if they retreated they did not move an inch from their positions. The surroundings of the headquarters ran red with the blood of both sides, as the conflict descended into a brutal melee. Lives were sacrificed with every step, their names whispered in the wind, their sacrifice fueling the fires of vengeance. Amidst the chaos and carnage, Kawa emerged as a beacon of hope, his hammer a whirlwind of destruction against the forces of darkness. His presence on the battlefield served as a rallying point, inspiring his comrades to push forward against seemingly insurmountable odds. The battle raged on for days, each moment fraught with uncertainty and despair. Yet, the indomitable spirit of the Kurdish people refused to be extinguished. The revolutionaries fought with a tenacity born of desperation, refusing to yield to the weight of their losses. Finally, in a climactic moment that would echo through the ages, the defenders of Adur faltered. The revolutionaries, driven by a newfound surge of strength and resolve, seized the opportunity and breach the headquarter and the first victory was written in stone. In the prison of Adur, Kawa and his men released thousands of Kurdish prisoners who immediately joined the revolution and after the victory in Adur, Kawa was set for the next target in the revolution.

The Battle of Adur marked a turning point in the struggle against Zuhak’s oppressive rule. The triumph of the revolutionaries, stained with the blood of their fallen comrades, sent shockwaves through the region. News of the Kurdish victory spread like wildfire, inspiring hope among the oppressed and striking fear into the hearts of Zuhak’s loyalists.

The Battle of Sharruk

Following their triumphant victory in the Battle of Adur, Kawa and his valiant Kurdish revolutionaries pressed onward, their sights set on the city of Sharruk. Situated to the west, Sharruk held a pivotal position as the sole hub of docks through which Zuhak received essential supplies to sustain his rule. Its capture would strike a significant blow to the sorcerer’s grip on power. Bolstered by their recent success and armed with a cache of advanced weapons secured in the previous battle, the Kurdish revolutionaries approached Sharruk with a newfound sense of confidence. Days turned into nights as the relentless clash between Kawa’s forces and the Khuzguards, the elite soldiers loyal to Zuhak, intensified around the imposing city walls. As the battle raged on, a startling revelation awaited Kawa and his men. Within the city’s confines, Zuhak had arrived, driven by the news of the loss at Adur and the encroaching threat of the Kurdish revolution. The blacksmith-turned-revolutionary locked eyes with the sorcerer king, and to his astonishment, he beheld the twin serpents coiled menacingly upon Zuhak’s shoulders. The mythical creatures that he had dismissed as mere legends were now a chilling reality before him.

A surge of determination coursed through Kawa’s veins. He realized that the time had come to confront Zuhak head-on, to put an end to the tyrant’s reign once and for all. The stage was set for an epic confrontation, a clash of steel and sorcery that would decide the fate of Kurdistan. Zuhak, invoking his dark arts, unleashed waves of malevolent sorcery upon Kawa. But the blacksmith-turned-warrior stood firm, wielding a massive shield that deflected the onslaught of mystical forces. Undeterred, Kawa closed in on Zuhak, his heart aflame with vengeance and justice. As the distance between them closed, Kawa drew his sword, the blade gleaming with righteous purpose. Yet, Zuhak proved to be a formidable adversary, skillfully defending himself with his own enchanted weapon. The clash of their swords reverberated through the city, a symphony of destiny unfolding with every parry and strike.

Kawa’s prowess in close-quarters combat granted him the advantage, his skill and strength gradually pushing Zuhak backward. With each step, the sorcerer king’s resolve faltered, his forces dwindling to a mere handful. They found themselves encircled by the Kurdish revolutionaries, weapons poised to strike. In a moment that would forever be etched in the annals of Kurdish history, Zuhak’s laughter pierced the air. With a flourish of his cape, he disappeared into a swirling vortex of sorcery, leaving his defeated soldiers at the mercy of Kawa’s forces. Reluctantly, the remaining loyalists dropped their weapons, their surrender a testament to the indomitable spirit and unity of the Kurdish revolution. As the dust settled over the city of Sharruk, the victory was palpable. The Kurdish warriors, weary yet resolute, celebrated their hard-fought triumph over two battles. However, Kawa knew that this was just a stepping stone on the path towards ultimate liberation. Aware of Zuhak’s escape through the use of sorcery, Kawa understood that the sorcerer was regrouping for the final battle. The stage was now set fo the capital city of Zuhak, where his castle were located. With their hearts aflame and their spirits unyielding, Kawa and his fellow revolutionaries prepared for the ultimate confrontation that would determine the future of their land.
